Best Dog Friendly Cafes on the Yorke Peninsula, SA

On a recent trip to the Yorke Peninsula with my dog, I discovered some fantastic dog-friendly cafes that I just had to share. If you’re like me, you love taking your pup on adventures but hate leaving them behind when it’s time for a meal or coffee. Here’s a rundown of my favorite spots where both you and your dog will feel right at home.

1. Port Hughes General Store

I loved starting my day here with a beach walk, followed by a relaxed meal. It’s got a large, dog-friendly outdoor seating area where you can enjoy the fresh sea air.

2. North Beach Kitchen

This was probably my favorite spot during the trip. Sitting outside with my dog and looking out over North Beach was such a treat. They’re super accommodating to dogs, and the beachy vibe makes it a great place to chill.

3. Marion Bay Tavern

This tavern has a shaded beer garden where my dog and I could unwind after exploring the nearby beaches. The relaxed, friendly vibe made it easy to settle in for a meal and drinks.

4. Location Café

After a morning walk along the coastal trails, stopping at Location Café was perfect. The staff were super friendly, and the dog-friendly outdoor area was a nice spot to relax with my pup.

5. Sunny Hill Distillery

This was such a fun stop. The distillery has a big, dog-friendly lawn area where my dog could roam while I sampled some of their amazing gin.

6. Watsacowie Brewery

This brewery is super laid-back and really welcoming to dogs. There’s plenty of outdoor seating, and they often have live music, which adds to the chill vibe.

• What to Try: You can’t go wrong with a tasting paddle of their craft beers. They also offer some great snacks to pair with your drinks.

7. The Bond Store

I ended my trip here, and it was the perfect spot to wrap things up. The outdoor area was dog-friendly, and the staff were happy to bring out water for my dog while I enjoyed some great food and drink.
